Pen Haul From Asa Pens

I came home today to my latest pen haul from ASA pens. I ordered these pens in early June and Mr Subbu made them to my personal specifications. Some of these pens have already been reviewed by other, so I'll only review the novel ones when I get to using them.

Very nice collection, gopool. I have been very pleasantly surprised by the quality and craftmanship of pens I have purchased in the Ranga group buys. I currently have 3 and expecting a fourth pen. My favorite so far is a Ranga Bamboo demonstrator with frosted body and polished fineals. It has a broad Jowo nib and is a beautiful writer right out of the box. They are some of the best writers I own. Your collection is quite impressive. Thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks. It's been fun putting this collection together, however, I have run out of space in my pen case and I promised my wife I'll only have one pen case. Now if one comes in one must also leave so I have to be quite discriminating from now on.

I bought that case on eBay about a year ago. They seem to be out of stock at the moment but keep an eye out for it.

Some of those ebonite pens are really attractive, especially that blue ripple one (about halfway down the photo of the righthand side of your pen case).

I did not want to make a new thread so I'm piggybacking on this one.

 

Due to the generosity of a new friend from India, I was able to secure three Kim and Co fountain pens.

Maybe the easy answer is just to exchange your "small" case for a much larger pen case that takes more pens?? (Perhaps a custom made one?).

 

I am just hoping that my wife doesn't think my large accumulation of pens is a matter for divorce! I know she thinks I am going a little mad. She keeps asking why I need yet another pen. I don't really have a good answer to that.

So... do tell. What are they? Pretty please? That small one with the extremely long cap is intriguing, to say the least...

The green one pay homage to the Eboya Kyouka. I love this design (this is my third one). Subbu did a great job capturing the simplicity and essence of the pen without outright copying it. The small black one with the long cap is called the "Long Cap." Subbu is still perfecting the design but I just had to have one. With this one, I'm more of a beta tester. The big black one is ASA pen's version of the Supreme line of ebonite pens that every Indian shop has a version of. Finally, the big brown one is called the ASA Viraat, which was reviewed by Mehandiratta here.
