Too Good To Be True...??

I saw my 2nd grail pen...... 888 Imperial Dragon.. :yikes: ..

The seller did not get back to my questions, such as....

1. what number is the pen, 888 of ???

2. Do the pen come with booklet & paper...??

I'm not taking any chance of bidding on this pen.... :( ..

Members,

1. What you think the price of the bidding will end at....??

2. Would you bid on it, if you were me.....??

ok, now click on the above link... ;) ..

Best Regards,

Tony :)

Your typing style is very... scattered. It's possible the seller didn't understand you. Or they don't know what you mean (i.e. know nothing of fountain pens), if it has been listed for such a low price. It will likely get up to $10k+ before it ends. Who knows if they really have an uninked Golden Dragon; probably not.

Kind of surprise that nobody have nothing to say or have any comments about it.... :( ..

Maybe members try to keep it low profile so they could sniped it on ebay... :ninja: ...lol..... ..

Thanks for the reply Mr. Valdair.... :) ..

Yes, I do have a weird writing style..... lol.....

IMHO I think my questions is simple & clear... ..

What number is the pen & do it have the original Mont Blanc Imperial Dragon booklet and original Mont Blanc Imperial Dragon warranty card aka (paper)

I think $10k plus is going to be insane... :yikes: .. Don't you think.....

Anyways, it be interesting to see how the bidding end.....

Best Regards,

Tony :)

I am seeing my dealer selling it at around EUR 6,000. So I guess this figure could possibly be too good to be true, particularly that 1) its coming from Asia 2) low feedback number and 3) low resolution of photos and mediocre description. I would beware.

That being said.. sometimes thing sell for a crazy discount. I got several LEs at less than half price while still brand new when they were gifts to people who didn't appreciate or value them properly and ended up putting them up to the market. Maybe its stolen or an inheritance from an not savvy heir?

If you're asking whether the pen looks authentic, then I would say yes it does, and it's many bidders seem to agree. The Imperial Dragon is basically a Christie with a different clip, and that's what the pen is. :)

That being said, now that I noticed the number of bidders when Chrissy pointed it out- you may never know what it'll end on. A month ago I saw a Skeleton 333 that was faring $2,500 until an hour before close then it spiked to $6,000 (still cheap).

So, who the lucky one that won the bid & bought the pen.. ...??

If you the member here that bought it, I want to say congratulations... ...!!!

That is one fine pen, wish to own it someday... :) ..

Pravda & Chrissy thank you for your humble opinion & input... :) ..

It was a very interesting bidding war that start off at $1.00 & end up to $5,655.00 :yikes:

It kind of an insane price for a pen that you don't know what number it's, no outer box, no booklet, and no paper....

Best Regards,

Tony :)

Hey Tony :) As I mentioned, the Skeleton 333 should've went for $10k-$13k but the auction finished at around $6k. Definitely a good deal, which commensurates the risk of the item being stolen, damaged and/or never gets sent to the winner. Life's like that
