Lamy Linea Vs Cp1?

I ordered the Linea in the finish below a few days ago however I've got an ebay code that will save £15 off a £30+ purchase. So I'm wondering if there is any point in owning both i.e. are they different enough to warrant having both? Annoyingly the Linea won't get here until after the code expires so can't base my decision off my impression of the Linea.

That's a linea K. Good find; it's been discontinued for a few years now.

The cp1 has a fancier clip (sprung like on the 2000) and the body is painted brass so not quite as light as the aluminium linea. Nib and section are identical. In conclusion, I wouldn't buy both as they're too similar. If you want another Lamy that's similar but not too similar look for a logo (models 05 and 06) or pur (models 47 and 48).

Basically, all the lower end Lamy models use the same nib and feed.

 

So in that department they are all similar.

 

 

The rest is cosmetic and ergonomics re grip and width.

 

I must say I DO like this chequered pen visually.! Wouldn't mind owning it, but not enough to go buy it (as I already have more pens than I can use)
