Eagle Pencil Co, Pen Patent March 25, 79 Dip Pen

This pen came with some pens that i purchased, It is an Eagle Pencil Co, New York USA.

The Nib says Esterbrook Co.s Falcon Pen 048. I would like to find out more about it and if there is any value, The collar that holds the nib is silver. The pen measures 5 3/4 inches.

i forgot the patent date is March 25, 79 , which would make it about 135 years old.

The patent date and the date when that particular pen was made can be two very distant dates.

 

I know I have some Falcon 048s and I do not think they are all that old at all.

 

That pen holder, with the silver section may be worth something.
