Eversharp Ball Points :)

I saw another thread for Eversharps BPs. So my post is not the first heretic one.

My interest in them came from wanting to know more about the last stage of such giants as Eversharp and Esterbrook.

Anyway here is a recent catch from the bay. It is a salesman case with Eversharps BPs and MPs.

I would love to hear about these writing instruments, when they were sold etc.

On the left a desk BP, followed by several versions of the "10,000 words" BPs and MPs.

You can read about the 10,000 fountain pen here.

The red and the black on the left are called "Fountain-ball" Click on the image to get the full size one.

All the BPs have the retractable pocket clip,

similar to that of Zepelovitz

(which I believe was bought by Sheaffer see here)

If anyone has more information about the clip mechanism, I would be very intersted to hear about it.

The tiny bullet shaped items appear to be refill carriers.

Morning Antonios & Dan!

Yep, I agree, neat find! What vintage would you say thes are, Parker/Eversharp or the last gasp before the acquisiton (kind of like JIF Waterman buying their U.S. counterpart!)??

Hi All,

If I'm not mistaken, those "bullet" items are late variants of the Kimberly Pockette ballpoint (please see image below, c. 1947). I've got one identical to the black model (minus the advertising on the side), but on mine the name Kimberly has been shortened to "Kim."

I actually got mine working, courtesy of one of those generic "snap-to-fit" metal ballpoint refills. A refill bearing the brand - isn't irony interesting? - "Eversharp."

Cheers,

Jon

Jon, fist of all a late thanks for the Pockette. Here are some variations of the Pockette that I got today

Initially I also felt that these should be later ones (I thought that they "scream" Lady Sheaffer Skripsert) but actually

Parker was there with the "fishnet" in the 41 Debuttante and perhaps Eversharp was there even before Sheaffer.

Also these appear to be refill holders for the Pockettes.

Finally here are some (definitely) later Parker/Eversharps ball-points. Jotteroids?

Any info would be welcome :)

HI All,

I have recently found a Eversharp ball point, exactly the same as the one in below picture 4th from the right.. Silver with 2 black bands.

this came in an original red box with the Eversharp logo..

The Kimberly ink refill has dried up and I would like to refill. Is this possible? (KEC-54-1)

Prov.Patent.No 58357/60 is inside the box.

I would also like to know a little about this pen.

Thanks
