Kitless Cigar Pen

Finished up this for a gentleman who wanted a large cigar shape pen in a lighter colored wood. I chose stabilized spalted maple with black ebonite, and used a #6 extra fine Jowo nib with a converter filling system.

This was my first attempt at a cigar pen. I went through a couple prototypes to try and get the proportions the way I wanted them, but over all I am pretty happy with it. I would personally have put a clip on it, but my client wanted it to be clipless. This is quite a fat pen. The barrel is 15mm in diameter at the cap threads, and tapers down to about 13mm where the final begins. It is not overly long, and can be posted if preferred. Thanks for looking!

It is stabilized spalted maple. The black lines are a result of fungus attacking the wood after the tree fell and lay on the ground.
