I just acquired my first double broad nib (Pelikan M800) and am currently experimenting with different writing styles. I would love to see how you all write with your B, BB, and other juicy nibs!

I have had all of my B, BB, 3B and IB nibs ground to cursive italic, and I write italic script with them, mostly. I do have a Pelikan 400 with an OBB nib, but I don't use it much.

To me, a B or BB nib is just a BIG nib. After M, I go to a 1.1 CI nib, so that there is some "look" to the ink line.

Once I bought a Pilot with a Cosu nib - the broadest they make. Despite the smoothness of the nib and the typically good flow, it was a disappointment: it felt like writing with a felt-tip pen on a whiteboard. I sent it to Oxonian who managed to give it character. Unfortunately, it's not inked at the moment. The moral of the story: broad isn't enough.

I think Pilot's music nib is the broadest they make .
