Flex Nibs: Zebra G Vs. Brause Rose

Hi, Everyone,

 

I have been using Zebra G nibs in my nib holders, Desiderata Flex Pen, and Jinhao x450 frankenpen. I am interested in trying out the Brause Rose in the Desi and Jinhao and was wondering how the Brause Rose and Zebra G compare in terms of length/diameter/breather hole position.

The Brause Rose should fit in both pens. It has been used in several different frankenpens successfully. Here are some videos (the last video uses a Noodler's Ink Ahab, but it's the same idea):

The Zebra Comic G nib fits in the Ahab/Konrad pens too. Also, the Zebra G comes in Titanium as well as steel. The Titanium version will not rust, the steel version will rust (eventually). Here's one place you can buy the Titanium Zebra Comic G nib:

Scroll down until you see "N154. Pointed Nib Sampler". That entry has a single picture of a bunch of nibs side-by-side top-down view including the Zebra-G and the Brause Rose so you can compare them. But for some reason when I click on the picture to enlarge it - it doesn't. Maybe it will work for you. If not, Email the seller for a larger copy - they're good people.
