Great Characters Andy Warhol

Axis

Recommended Posts

Yesterday at the local Boutique I picked up a Special Edition of the Andy Warhol pen (with Campbells) - I really like it. I did not take a Picture of the limited Edition, it has got the flower theme of Andy Warhol. But I also saw the artisan Edition 100 (Picture attached - the one with the Dollar Symbol). Enjoy :)

Thanks for the pics! How's the weight uncapped? Does it post?

When I saw the description of the Campbell's Soup cap, I thought that the whole cap was modeled to look like a stack of soup cans. Not quite as excited by the way it is, but a very attractive pen. Definitely on my want list.

Uncapped the pen is very light, no steep section, nicely to handle and write with. The cap is very heavy by the way ;-) You can post it but I won't as I would not like the balance.

Check it out as soon as it is available at your place - I was very positively surprised by this pen.

Thanks for sharing. When I saw the pictures, I was surprised by the length of the cap relative to the body. It made me think of a much higher-end (and expensive!) version of the Pilot Elite short/long pens...except that it doesn't seem like you can post the cap. (So much for my analogy...)

Thanks :)

Nib is soft as usual - and it comes with a special light blue ink (Warhol ink).

That ink is interesting... Could you make a writing sample?

Thank you for posting the pictures of your special edition. The fact that there isn't a huge step to the section, and the general design aesthetic of this pen make it very appealing (to me).

I stopped in my local MB boutique (San Francisco) thinking that there was that .0001% chance they'd also have this pen in.. sadly not.. they weren't certain when, but they thought these models would be available sometime in December, maybe.

I think that its interesting that one Boutique would get it so much sooner than others. I wonder if pens sould have an actual release date at least for the limited editions.

Here you go (sorry, but I cannot upload the file without it being turned by 90 degrees for whatever reason...)

My local store is the flagship boutique in Hamburg, they are always ahead ;)

I went to the boutique to take my 149 pt f nib, and the chocolate for christmas. I also saw the Andy Warhol , it is an interesting pen with a long heavy cap, however the barrel is very light ( a little bit too light for me ).Like heritage 1912, there is the scratch issue on the barrel. The price is almost the same as 149. The flower edition is beautiful but overpriced to me. I have all the great character series pens except JFK and Andy Warhol.

Thanks for the writing sample!

Is this really the Andy Warhol ink, or are you confused with the Tolstoy ink?

Because my information is that there is no Warhol ink since Montblanc was not allowed to produce this....

At least that is what they told me. The ink was not labeled and they filled up my FP in the boutique - but I was told that it was Warhol ink and would be available soon. Sorry, cannot give you more insight than this.

If there is an Andy Warhol ink, I would expect it to be packaged in a Campbell's soup can! ;)
