Waterman 100 Year Pen

Hello all! I went to a pen meet-up group in Seattle today and brought a bunch of my pens for them to view. The big hit was this Waterman's 100 Year Pen. We tested the bladder (with water) and it still works. All the parts are original, which I'm told is rare for this pen. The body is nearly flawless. It was suggested to me that I start the bid at $750.00 on Ebay, and that it could fetch upwards of $1000.00 Naturally I was pretty excited...but since I've been home I've been researching this pen to see what it's going for and I've only seen them in the $200.00 to $300.00 range (the pen I saw had a new very clear acrylic thing on the end...). Otherwise having a hard time finding prices. I was also told this was a first year production pen, but my research seems to indicate 3rd year. Hmmm.

In your collective experience is it worth that much. If not, what should I ask for it?

Please see pics below and thanks for your input!

Im no expert, but I have a first year model (blue version) which has been recognized as such by more knowledgeable pen experts and it looks quite different: On your pen the ends are truncated and not conical anymore and the clip ends in a plate on the finial and is not wrapped over.

Take a look at the pen from Richard Binder's 100 Years page:

It is a beautiful pen. I adore 100 year pens, but that accountant nib is a bit of a drag. Still lovely. Best of luck.
