Its a shame the Classique size FP only seems to come in a Doue version. A bit too shiny and no doubt hideously expensive :(

Is the LeGrande RB a "click on" cap?

No

Are you sure?

I don't see any threads in the picture from Fahrney's.

LeGrand (right) has threads; is the Classique (left) which is a "clip on cap"

Edited: sorry... I guess with "RB" you mean the rollerball. I'm only interested in fountain pens. Sorry again.

Yes

Thanks for the confirmation.

That must be a first?

No problem, I am usually the same, but I find I need an RB or BP sometimes.

For those times, I find the LeGrande pieces very comfortable.

I just purchased the Blue Hour Midsize and Doué Classique ballpoint pens. They should be here in a couple of days! I am very excited to see the blue lacquer. An opinion will certainly follow!

Good for you and I looking forward to photos! I am awaiting the delivery of the LeGrand Blue Hour to my local Boutique. I called yesterday and they still have not received any of the Blue Hour series pens.

Same here, I asked the boutique and no ETA. Looking forward to seeing some posts here when someone gets them!

Asked about them at my local MB boutique too but no ETA as well, I'm looking for the ink actually. :)

Was told there'll be the Skeleton and Solitaire versions coming.

I received one picture from my supplier. The package should arrive in the next day or two, but here is the one picture that I have! The Solitaire Doué with stainless steel twist top has an amazing color combination. It's also about $300 less expensive than the Midsize Solitaire. I believe I will like the balance of the Midsize better, though. Updates will follow! Fountain pens coming soon!!

Awesome! Though the blue looks more blackish here.

Based on the shading of the stainless steel, I believe the pens were in a shadow when the picture was taken. My boutique told me they would consider it a navy blue shade with an interesting (possibly guilloché?) pattern. I believe the color to be more brilliant in the light. I also have a feeling that dark blue will be hard to capture in pictures without looking black-ish. We shall see!

I'll be looking forward to seeing them in the flesh! I've already ordered the Blue Hour ink from my local boutique when it arrives. The pens are just way too costly for me, with the Skeleton costing over SGD$10K here.

Does anyone know how MB determines which boutiques get which inventory (and when)?

Like, when the pink ink came out, the local KoP boutique at the mall FINALLY got their first shipment of ink in mid-May. By contrast, the MB boutique at the Chicago O'Hare airport had it back in April (and sold out).

Current Wishlist:

Visconti, Visconti, and...more Visconti! (And some ST Duponts too). (Ok fine, getting on the Omas and Montblanc trains now too. Toot toot.) (And maybe on the Montegrappa one too, but only for the Miyas.)

Hmmm, I have seen conflicting photos about whether the MB Meisterstuck Blue Hour LeGrand Rollerball is a friction or screw on cap. The photo I saw on Fahrney's and La Couronne du Comte's website was a friction cap. The photo I saw on Montblanc's website is a screw on cap. I am assuming that MB's is more accurate. Maybe they were going back and forth until the release date? Oh well I guess I'll be surprised when mine arrives! :D I'm hoping it is a screw on cap.

I would side with the MB photos.

Great news.

Here are a couple of pictures I snapped before the pens were shipped to the buyer. I fell in love and have already ordered another set hahaha! It seems to be the same guilloché pattern that is offered on the 90 Years Solitaire pens, except with a smooth surface, instead of rigid. The midsize is, in my opinion, the size all pens should be offered in. It fits perfectly in a man's hand. I view classique as being too small and hard to grip. The LeGrand can sometime just look ludicrous because of its sheer cartoon-ish size. The midsize, though, is absolutely a 10/10!
