Why should it be some people like affordable screw cap pens.

The images of pens you attached are rather nice. Do you know more about them? They look a bit like Laban's, but Laban take care to mark their pens, and the nib isn't quite like any Laban I know. I like the blue one in particular. Have always loved that blank.

Yep, you're right. I had a look at my two J500's last night & they are not screw caps.

 

I have a nasty little Huashilai 2210 (reviewed here: https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php?/topic/236998-huashilai-marbled-celluloid-2210/ ) that looks as if it's a screw cap, because of the screw thread on the barrel, but it isn't, it's a click cap.

The Free standard size SS-22 is also a screw cap, as is the behemoth that is the Wing Sung 590, which, although it is readily available I'm not sure if you'd call it a "modern" pen.

need to change the feed #5 /put new jinhao feed and this pen really work like silk / medium nib line like a .45mm // the converters jinhao dont fit to this section but works good with universal cartridges

Of Jinhao fountain pens, I wonder if all the " X " models, such as x250, x450, x500,

x750, etc. are click-on caps. Is there another screw-on cap model, other than the

model 159 ?

I have a rather nice Duke 370 which has a screw cap. I bought three as gifts when I was in China. When I tested them I liked them so I bought another one for myself. It's quite a heavy pen and (for me) it has just the right amount of bling.

The cherry pen on the left is a different pen from the other 2.

I have heard of many issues with these poor quality pens (the blue and yellow).

The cherry on the other hand, is a very good pen, which I have had for over a year with no issues, it is apparently made from Huahong parts with an ipg nib, and shouldn't be confused with with the other 2.

 

It is a screw cap though.
