I'm not a fan of bright, neon yellow. But I'm expecting a bottle of N. Firefly for experimenting.

The only color I'm not totally pleased with is the Yellow-Orange. I think it would it would be better with N. Dragon Catfish Orange but I don't have any to play with. I'm going to see how Summer Tanger and Firefly work together.

I really want to play with the Dragon Catfish colors , N. Golden Pig, and the J. Herbin grey.

i like the blue and light pink.

how different are they from their Lightning Blue and Hellfire bases, though?

and are you also diluting the Blue Ghost?

Love the purple. I have wondered if Dragon Catfish Pink and Lightning Blue would make a good purple highlighter ink.

Did you try these without adding the Blue Ghost? Or did you decide from the outset that it would add to the vibrancy?

I use the ink in preppy highlighters. The color seems to come out very dark and extremely wet with the felt tip. My first time mixing with pure colors resulted in very dark ink that made it hard to read.

The Yellow Green is a perfect example. I fell in love with the Iro Chiku Rin but can't afford it for highlighter purposes. N Army isn't a highlighter ink and was a very dark version of this color (or as close to the color as I'll ever get besides my traded sample). To lighten it up enough to be a highlighter, I had to dilute with Ghost 3 to 1. And still needed water dilution to fix drying time and bleeding.

So blue ghost makes the color more transparent without changing the consistency of the ink. I use water to aid in making the ink more transparent and it dries faster. Before dilution, I was having problems with the ink bleeding through to the back page along with imprinting on the opposite page.

These formulas addressed and fixed these issues (at least for the textbook I am currently reading). I could have used White Whale to lighten the color but at $10 for 1 oz verses $12.50 for 3 oz of Blue Ghost, the choice was easy. And the ink looks awesome under a black light.

I mix the ink formula one vial. Then I take a new vial, put 2 mls of water and then add 3 mls of ink. Shake and then fill the cartridge.
