Rotring Levenger Fountain Pen With Steel Nib

Recommended Posts

I just bought this pen on Craigslist. The seller did not know too much about it, other than what's written on the pen. Can anybody please identify the exact model, and what the value should be? I am wondering if I paid too much or not. Thanks for any help!

Yep. Nice pen - virtually indestructible. I like the industrial aesthetic. It's a classic pen.

Thank you, but 40 dollars?

$40 for a 600 is cheap, even if it does have the Levenger name on it. Today the typical 600 is going for $100- $150 or more depending on condition.

You got a bargin. The Rotring pens are top notch. They make matching ballpoints and pencils, the pencils being originally designed as drafting pencils, hence the look and shape, Multi sided so they will not roll off a drafting table. I have a Rotring pen/pencil set in a more traditional format, black plastic and gold and talk about nice writing, I think it is a 1950's vintage model. Most of what you see is the industrial look 600 and 800 series nowdays.

Regards

Jeff
