This pen looks more czart than Tolstoy to me. Given his philosophy, I doubt he would much appreciate the pen dedicated to him.

That looks a little better than the other rendering. Any info on a release date?

Tolstoy looks nice but not sure about the tiny nipple before the MB logo on it, that bit looks strange IMHO. Other than that it looks like a pen I'll end up buying!

Fountain pens are like weapons. They just make your pocket bleed so much.

I guess Bryant's photo is the final product. I prefer the 1868 version, except for that metal section. I do like the hand-hammered look. (I'm a sucker for Arts & Crafts designs.) Since I already have two real hammered caps on my Parker 51s, I think my needs are sated.

I played with it during the Black & White Week. It is the 4th of Master for Meisterstück series, i.e. (1) the Porcelain white & black, (2) L'Aubrac (wood) & (3) Moon Pearl (MOP).

Same style of design and this time using leather. The star is MOP with the cap ring and cone being sterling silver. Cross stitches are used to mount the leather to the body but they are very smooth. For my personal opinion, the craftsmanship is good. Despite of some coating might have been done to the medium brown leather, I've got the feeling that the colour would gradually be 'changee' by sweaty hands.

On the side issue, it would be desirable if the M for M series are fitted with a 149 nib !!

Thank you for latest info :)

Ouch.. :o Frankly I thought it'll be another wood variation  But this time without incrustations..

Sure, you're 100% right!

I also played with Tolstoy, the blue swirling pattern on its cone is much much lighter than it appears in the photo. The real one is more or less like below. However for the LE1868 version, I am sure that it would attract people's attention despite of its high price tag!

Hello Everyone,

Does anyone know the price of the Greart Characters series, Andy Warhol?

Is there a low price edition like JFK?

Hi,

I was in my local MB store and got some information for the next Great Characters Series. It is Andy Warhol and yes there is a "regular" edition along with the more expensive edition.

I don't think those are online yet.

Here what's in the brochure attached: the Andy Warhol Special Edition 1928, the Andy Warhol Limited Edition 1928 and the rather interesting 14k nib that's on both. It is a bit hard with this angle (and it seems rather silly to upload that brochure), but the special edition (the one with the blue barrel) has four Campbell soup cans engraved on the stainless steel cap and its finial resembles a soup can.

I want this brochure. How and where did you get it?

And do you know the price of the special edition (the blue barrel)?

I got the brochure last Saturday at an authorized retailer (La Couronne du Comte, here in the Netherlands). Regarding your price question... I don't have a clue, I didn't ask, sorry...
