Lamy 25P - Studio

I initially replied to a past Lamy 25P topic which is here. I am posting in here in the Lamy Forum as the original topic started before this Forum began. Summarizing, I recently came upon a pen that is identical to the Lamy 25P (70s - 80s), except that the cap is labeled LAMY STUDIO instead of LAMY 25P. Thus, I was wondering the relationship between the two and to the current Studio Model.

Thanks for any information!

I am not looking to identify a pen. The photos of a 25P are in the link that I supplied in my original post. I am simply wondering if there is a Lamy History expert out there that would know the relationship between the 25P and the Studio. It appears that they made pens that are identical to the pen in the link that are imprinted both 25P and Studio, and I am looking for more information on this. I would suspect that someone with a knowledge of Lamy pens during the 70s and 80s might be able to shed some light. If you want to see the pen, please just click on the link in my original post.

Thanks!

Phil

Please read my initial post: If it is too confusing ~ here is a summary :

1) Pete5000 (not me) initially posted a review of a 1970s 25P which I linked in my first post. It is a 25P.

2) The photos in his post are of a 25P, as you point out.

3) I have an identical pen (not posted here) with a cap imprint of Studio (as pointed out in my first and second posts)

4) I am not asking for information on Pete5000s 25P - his review was very good and I enjoyed reading it.

All I am asking for is someone who might have Lamy History expertise (I have none) to shed some light on this relationship between the 25P and vintage Studio. I am not asking for identification of my pen. It is a 70s / 80s Studio as I have stated, which just happens to be identical (clip, barrel, cap, ends) with Pete5000s 25P.

If my original post was unclear, I apologize, but this thread is getting bogged down.

I would appreciate any constructive information from Lamy experts.

Thanks in advance for any information on the pens.

Can't help you out Phil, no expert on these older Lamy's.

But congrats on reaching 1000 posts.

Thank you D.ick, for your friendly reply. It took me ten years to get there....

Hi

studio was the nane of the series, 25 P the article number. It is like the 27: 27 is the name, e.g. 30 / 31 or 32 the article number.

Later the 25 and 26 are called design, the 80,81 and so on profil.

I guess only the first 25 are named studio on the cap. The article number 25 P was used from the beginning, april 1969.

Best

Dirk

I search for all pens and informations made in Pforzheim, e.g. Sarastro, Fend
