Need To Copy Bic Soft Feel Med Blue Bp Ink

Roaster

Recommended Posts

So, at work they are implementing a new BP ONLY everyone will write with the same pen.

Since my stuff rarely ever is anything but reference I don't get too much scrutiny.

The boss told me not to 'stand out'.

Soooo, can you guys help me try to match the color of the Bic disposable ink??

I can't imagine the idea of having to use a BP but i get paid very well to do what I do, so I will deal, but if I can match it...

Help me out here guys.

From what I know, Asa-Gao is the closest to Ballpoint blue of which I know. It's described as being a "purplish blue." Maybe you'll have to add a tiny drop of some purple ink to match it exactly, but Asa-Gao should come close.

Also, Pilot G2's write remarkably smooth and have a rich blue color. if you can't match the color that would be a decent option. But standard Ballpoints.... *shiver* bless you (and your coworker's) heart(s) :P!

And what is it that you do, if we may know?

I'd have to be paid extremely well to work for such a fascist control freak.

Try Kaweco blue cartridge. I popped one into my Sport and was repulsed by how much it looked like BP blue.

Something in the royal blue range is going to be your best bet. I think Montblanc Royal Blue might be your closest bet since it has a bit of that purple tone. Kaweco Royal blue is similar and would also be a good substitute. Do keep in mind that none of these inks are waterproof like the ball pen ink so if that is at a premium your options are even more limited.

C'mon, at least give us a hint : what line of work is that? Especially in this day and age, where can handwriting be such a core concern of the business that they need to standardize? I'm guessing it's not forgery concerns, because then they'd pick something more expensive, and you wouldn't even consider to deviate.

Details, man. Details :D

Looking through my writing samples, Diamine Sargasso Sea seems pretty close. Then again, what I see in your picture is twice removed from what you see.
