Your Most Beautiful Pen Is . . .

Under sunlight or similar bright lighting (taken with flash like in the picture above) the Montblanc Bordeaux is quite reddish as shown. Burgandy red like their ink. In regular room lighting it is darker, more burgandy.

but then i dont have a pen that cost more than 30 bucks. so that makes all my pens users.

I don't have a limited addition Mont Blanc, Visoconti however what I consider my most beautiful pen is a pen I just love for it's simply design.

 

It's my Parker 15 GT fountain pen in Red.

Just because a pen cost over a certain amount does not mean you can not use it.

 

I have multiple pens that cost well over a grand each and love using constantly, my most beautiful pen is currently in my pen case in my duffle bag.

I really have three contenders for this. These aren't necessarily my favorite pens, but I love their colors. In no particular order:

 

Edison Collier in Persimmon Swirl: I love the colors, I love the chatoyancy, and I think it has a nice shape.

 

Noodler's Konrad in Emeralds on the Sun: a great combination of yellow and green, great chatoyancy, and this model has a great shape.

 

Noodler's Konrad in Forbidden City: I really love the purple and red and the chatoyancy. It me be my favorite pen to look at in my entire collection. I love the depth of the red. I was disappointed when I got it to learn that it is purple, not black, but it grew on me to the point that I fell in love with the purple and can't imagine anything else.. It's gorgeous. Okay, I think I found a favorite...

Wow, that Konrad Forbidden City is a nice looking pen. I keep thinking I should get another Konrad, but at the moment the available color selection isn't all that great (most of the colors I want seem to be currently sold out most places).

I keep hoping that some new colors of the ebonite pens will be released at some point. Like blue. I found out awhile back that you can get ebonite in blue and I think a blue ebonite Konrad would be awesome.

What a cornucopia of attractive pens. My most beautiful pen is the one I'm writing with. Each one looks different, feels different and writes different. Beauty is in the eye (and hand) of the beholder. As the saying goes, "Dance with the one that brung you"

I recently got one like that, myself, and yeah -- it's my most beautiful pen. I love most of my pens, for various reasons -- the Skyline is iconic, the Sailor is handsome, the Targa saw me through college -- but the Vac is drop-dead gorgeous.

The SM1/57 is the sam as my only Swan that I won on the Bay last year. I was impressed even more when I opened the package. The brown is really quite gold and the flexible medium nib may just be the nicest nib I have. For a small pen with a small nib it's truely incredible!

Oh yes, not only did Mabie Todd have some of the most beautiful materials, they knew a thing or two about making lovely nibs as well!

S.T. Dupont Olympio Vertigo. I still use this pen, however less frequently now that my tastes have turned to lighter weight pens.

 

I like the green malachite pattern on my Must de Cartier pen, however I no longer use this pen. I don't like skinny stick pens. (Which is the same reason the MB Noblesse gets no love).
