You are abs correct, the 2 is printed like Z !!!

But it is definitely a 2. A very 80s box there.

The version with gold nib (12K) and much heavier cap machined out of solid is the 121, technically the "new 121".

I bought one in the UAE supermarket for Dirams 3.50 (less than a dollar)

 

Works ok ,

I cannot understand how the economics of transporting these to the middle east works out.

There were about a hundred of these pens in a glass case.

You had to ask a member of staff to look at them, there was no price showing.

Still I have a new pen to play with

I remember this pen. I used to have a black one. I remember it was rather scratchy. But I was a kid then. But be careful of the printing on the cap. I remember scraping away some lettering using a razor blade. Devil I was.
