Opal And Sapphire

The opal material is alumilite made by Jonathon Brooks. Turns and threads beautifully! The blue material--not so much. Turns okay but very difficult to thread. Anyway, they go together nicely.

The pen looks a little thick for my girly hands. Which is too bad, because that "opal" barrel is just stunning. Don't suppose you could make one of those that's a little thinner in girth? (Not, of course, that I could probably afford such a thing. Sigh....)

Yep, it's thick. I think I will do something with it again as soon as Jonathon sends me more of that gorgeous stuff, maybe a straight-sided pen like the W-E Gold Seal or maybe a curvy Nakaya shape.
