"tactical" Pen Case

For ages I've been looking for a pen case that works basically like this Mont Blanc Pouch but is a little bit more low profile. I found what you call in the us "tactical" or "tacticool" rucksacks/bags and clothing fitting the design aspect of what I'm looking for, but I cant find a small pouch that looks like that and fits 2-4 pens. Anyone know of something?

This type of pen case is quite common in German and eastern europe, vintage cases sell for $10-40 and new cases, see ebay.de, for around $20.

A 4 pen case might be a stretch but 1, 2 and 3 fairly easy to find

I do wonder if you could mould some kydex into a pen case in such a form factor.

Look at the maxpedition pocket organizers. I have the micro sized and the fatty myself. They have elastic loops that hold pens, bit they have bigger spaces for other things too. Its not really a dedicated pen case, but it is a zippered case that does hold pens. The protection wouldn't be the greatest, but I don't have any issues with it marring the finish on any of the sub $100 pens I keep in mine.

The Maxpedition is nice, the Franklin-Christoph one is almost perfect - but they both have to much wasted space. I'm looking for something of smaller profile so it fits into a suit pocket.

Perhaps I will have to take out the sewing machine and get creative myself - or mutilated by fast oscillating needles ...

Skinth Solutions www.skinthsolutions.com might have something that will work, but trying to find a tactical-style anything that is slim enough to fit into a suit pocket is going to be an interesting challenge.

I think combining the words tactical and suit might be causing the issue. I love the idea, but the sleakness of one seems to go against the functionality of the other.

My head is picturing lots of interesting fusions just nothing that quite works out.

The maxpedition picture I posted was of the larger sized one I typically carry in a bag. The micro or mini models could easily be tucked into an inner coat pocket. I'm not sure of dimensions offhand, but they should be listed on their site or on YouTube. Eric at Skinth makes quality gear, and he'll do something custom for you if you chat him up via email. I have two of his belt rigs, the OG and the L-shield, for carrying frequently needed tools at work.

I just love that style! I'm going to contact him and see if he might be able to something custom. And if I find the time I might try to sew one myself. Thank you very much!

Look at Visconti dream touch cases as they have a zipper closure, individual pen slots, and almost no wasted space. I personally like the fact that there is no elastic but the pens are still isolated from each other.
