Great review and it reminds me of the 'original' Diamine Blue-Black, before the R2.

Thank you, I always value your comments. Please do post a sample of the Blue-Black, it would be interesting to see!

I'm sure that this is the original one as I've mentioned the newer one R2 somewhere in the file name.

Diamine Teal IS dry--it wasn't your pen. I bought this ink early in my FP life and keep meaning to sell it....once I added Syo-ro and Pigeon Blue to the neighborhood (of my ink boxes), D. Teal just didn't get much play.

Thanks for the review.

best wishes,

eo

Just about my favourite colour. Its niether blue-or-green-ness property is the attraction. Currently using it in a Sailor with medium nib in a Rhodia webnotebook. The dryness suits the paper. Thanks for the review, a bit of conformation bias in action on my part.

Thank you for these, wow the pre R2 really is close to the current teal! (I MUST get my r2 out, it looks gorgeous!)

EO, thank you for letting me know that it is the ink that is dry! Thanks for stopping by.

Hi, glad you liked the review. Ink lovers cannot help but be biased!

I agree with EO. I like the color, but find that it writes dry in many of my pens that never had that problem before. Sometimes it's a hard starter, unlike the Waterman or PR inks I usually use. Or, sometimes, I can outwrite it if it starts running dry in the nib. Maybe if you used it in a pen that was normally rather wet, it'd be a good match. If it wasn't for dry quality, it could be one of my favorites. But, it isn't.

Thanks for the review. I've just tried some sample cartridges, and like the colour and performance, but as I already have a couple of bottles of R&K Verdigris I'll probably stick with that.

I too love the color of the ink, but it seems to make every pen I put it in, cartridges, give start up problems. Seems to clog the feed.
