Berol had a nice fountain pen...

Last year, I stumbled upon a very unique pen at in my aunt's storage house. Actually, I found many pens, but only three of them were fountain pens. She had an older SHEAFFER calligraphy set, but I skipped that found a pen that I ultimately lost some months later. It was called the Berol FONTAINE, and it was probably the smoothest writing pen I've come across. It was as light as an Rotring ArtPen ( another one of my fav's) but it wrote just as smooth as a Namiki Falcon.

 

It was after I lost it, of course, that I inquired about the pen one day. She told me that she got it in Florida c. 1960! I was so sad, because I knew that I'd never find another one again...

I just bought two and 1/2 boxes of the Berol Fontaine but it looks newer than the 60's. The box says Empire Berol USA Brentwood, TN. And the pens say made in Japan. I got green, black and blue. Here is a photo (not a great picture-sorry):
