The Orange Pen Thread

Recommended Posts

I did a search and couldn't find any current threads specifically dedicated to showing your orange pens; the ones I found were old enough I would almost certainly be castigated for necroposting. The thought to locate an orange pens thread came to me as I was taking a "family picture" of orange pens, in the course of sending one of them to a new owner.

So, I'm a big fan of orange pens, regardless of make, and I'd love to see yours. Here are a few of mine:

Does a "Big Red" count as orange?

Lovely Sheaffer!!! I bet you have some other orange pens, too.

And yes, Big Red counts. I've never seen one that struck me as being "red".

Some very beautiful pens.

Four years ago, when I was 'new' orange didn't even come in question. Now it does.

I'm missing yellow too.

Don't have enough browns.

Sure got a lot of black and gold. :o

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

This arrived today. A Keene OSFT (5.4") with a full flex Warranted nib. This is the big brother of the "Baby Bill" Keene RT (4.2") posted above.

Keene was a jeweler in lower Manhattan about a century ago who had his pens made by Eclipse.

Actually the other thread I know of isn't even two weeks old LOL! Some great pictures here:

Thanks inkheart - I knew I had seen a thread not too long ago but try as I might, I just could not find it. Weird how that happens sometimes. I wonder if it might be appropriate to combine the two threads? I'll check into that, but thanks for the link.

LOVE the Carters

Here's a link to my old thread about it with lots of awesome photos

Garageboy, I saw your thread and the awesome photos of great pens, but didn't want to resurrect it and cause a dreaded "necroposting" situation, which for some reason makes certain people go absolutely bonkers. At least we now have a thread with posts to two other excellent threads which do the same thing.

I'm surprised to not see an Edison in Persimmon Orange here yet. That's just about the only orange pen that's ever seemed truly beautiful to me.
