He only has the clear, smoke, orange, and blue. The Pilot Japan website doesn't even have purple listed as one of the colors.

The Heritage 92 was originally released in the clear only. In 2012, Pilot released the blue, amber and smoke colors.

 

Never ever seen nor heard of the purple except in the Custom Heritage 74.

Your Welcome. It is a possibility that it's exclusive to that particular store but I find it odd because I would think it would be exclusive to Japan before Taiwan. I agree with leod to and wish it was a little darker or more vibrant like the rest of the colors. I can't wait for my Heritage 92 to come and if a retailer that ships worldwide get's a hold of these I'd definitely get it for my sister for her graduation cause she loves purple.

I have a blue on it's way also! I heard you can take apart the piston with the TWSBI spanner just incase you need to relube it or something but have you ever taken the nib and feed out for cleaning?

I've had no need to do so as yet. Haven't taken the nib and feed out. Ordinarily I don't clean that way... my inks are not of the high maintenance variety.

Thanks for the info. I originally ordered the clear but changed my order because I love the color blue and cause the clear seems like it needs more maintenance and is more prone to staining. Especially since I like really saturated inks with dark colors.

yes, I even use oxblood in my blue. I want that purple very badly though. wonder where i can get one. engeika just started having the smoke, so he might have the purple in a few months? hopefully...
