Not sure where to find such a list, but I can name a few well known ones off the top of my head for you.

Parker 51, 61, 45, and 21

Lamy 2000

Aurora 88 (vintage)

Hero 100, 1000, 110, 616, and 329

Those would be the more commonly known ones. There certainly are many more though.

Calculating.

Hi,

White expressions got the list more or less. There are also shrouded nibs that are not technically hooded but are mostly surrounded by the grip section

The bottom nib is shrouded. The one in the middle is called a dart nib. The top is a fingernail nib. I think we generally reserve "hooded" for pens where part of the slit is covered.

Additional Parkers: Parker 17, 100, 51 SE (from the year 2000).

Now difficult to get hold of: Jinhao 321 (the best fine steel nibbed hooded pen that isn't a Parker you'll find)

Also there is the Bahadur 612

Dux 612

Win Sung 612, 812

All except the Parker are fine nibbed only.

Regards,

Richard

Wality 77P and Camlin 47 are semi-hooded (similar to L2K) from India.

Hi all.

Does anyone know where I can find a list of hooded nib fountain pens?

Thanks

No, that one is not hooded, it's an inlaid nib - comparable to the Geha Goldschwinge or the Sheaffer Targa (careful though with inset or inlaid...)

reminds me: this one could be inked again...

One model of Tower, which was made either for Montgomery Wards or for Sears&Roebuck. About the same size as a P51 Demi, and probably from the late '40s.

Don't know if the Shaeffer Imperial I would qualify as a hooded pen.

Also, in a similar vein, as mentionned earlier in this thread, would the Waterman Taperite Crusader be considered as a hooded pen?

Finally, there is the Stylomine 303, French-made, which came out at the same time if not slightly earlier than the Parker 51.

Here is a list of hooded, inlaid and integreated nibs. (Second page) LIST

I also started a topic where I wanted pics of hooded (and inlaid and integrated) nibs. Lots of lovely pens... (Maybe we should add more pics!?) LINK

Guanleming 2001 Demonstrator and #978 Accountant; their #193 Calligraphy pen is somewhere between truly hooded and what Dillon shows as a "shrouded" nib.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."
