Ball-Point Nibs.

Last night I was scrolling through Richard Binders brilliant pen glossary here on FPN and came across the entry for ball-point nibs. The nib on an old Mentmore Diplomat which I own has always puzzled me and I have always assumed that it had had a bad re-tipping job done on it. Is it possible that it could be a ball-point nib which Richards glossary describes as being helpful to left handed writers ?

Comments from your good selves would be appreciated.

Ball-pointed nibs....not 'ball-point'.

In German they were called Kugle/(ball) nibs.

Like the modern blobby nibs of today, they allowed some one to write with a fountain pen like he was holding a pencil or later a 'ball point' pen in front of the first knuckle.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.
