Turkish Pens

Hello,

as you can see, i am living in Turkey and i want to introduce you, maybe some of you already know, the turkish pen company; Scrikss.

 

The company produces all kinds of pens and pencils since 1964 in Turkey. Some of their cheap pencils or pens are made in Korea, but they mainly make the better pens and all the fountain pens in their factory here in Istanbul.

 

The company is very popular in the Turkish market and the products are very cheap and high quality. The pens are mostly sold as sets including a ballpoint or a rollerball pen and a fountain pen.

 

The first fountain pen they have produced is the model 17 fountain pen which toltally made in Turkey except the nib which is made of Ruthenium.

 

They have an another model which is very popular too. Its the model 419 fountain pen. Its a very nice pen too. Its nib is golden plated ruthenium. Its more expensiver than the other models of the company.

 

And here are my Scrikss pens;

This is the model 33 which is the cheapest pen of the company. Its only 17,5 Turkish Liras, which is approximately 10 dollars.

The body of the pen is made of acrylic and the nib is an iridium point stainless steel nib.

The nin of mine is medium size. The pen has a converter system. Its availabile in blue, black and this burgundy color.

 

 

And i have a second pen which is also very nice. Its called the model 71. Its the same of the model 17 but the cap of 17 is plastic but the cap of 71 is metal.

Hi, I've seen recently that the respected Andy's Pens stocks a couple of models from this manufacturer. Hadn't seen any other mention of them before that.

ı have not seen thoose pens that he sells before. I think maybe they are not Scrikks because the company makes the clips of the pens all the same like Parker does. They had a triangle like shaped clip in the early years and now the clip seems like in the picture above. But they are nice pens. You can find the pens in the web sites like amazon or ebay. There is a turkish site cooperating with ebay called gittigidiyor. You can find them there for very low prices.
