Waterman 750 Help

Recommended Posts

I have a Waterman 750 Nib head but no body. I'm trying to find a body to attach it to. I found this in my old box of art stuffs (see my introduction) and am really excited about it (as my last two pens have been lackluster at best). Any help on the matter is greatly appreciated. For clarification, since I never asked a question, is the quandary as to whether Waterman bodies are universal, or if I must find an exact match to my little guy. I will edit this and add a photo for visual acuity as well.

*edit*

Not just the nib, but the nib, feed, and section (according to proper FP anatomy)

Thanks again.

No, you will have to obtain the correct barrel & cap...aside from Exclusive & Executive.

Without a picture we can only guess, Man 100, Man 200, Gentleman, Exclusive, Executive, Exception, L'Etalon, Preface, Carene, Edson :hmm1:

Hi,

The 750 refers to the fact that it is 18K gold. Unfortunately, (or quite fortunately) many Waterman pens come with 18K nibs, so we can't really tell which pen your nib belongs to. Pictures might be quite helpful.

This is my frustration.

OK, you need to find a Gentleman barrel and cap which, on their own, is not going to be easy. You are in the common position where you will probably end up looking for a complete pen with a damaged section. The Gent remains a desirable pen and as such they do sell for high prices. If your section is undamaged (no corrosion on that plated ring adjacent to the nib) then you might find a complete pen that has corrosion, which is common, at a lower price. The alternative is to sell your section and then buy a complete pen. If it is clean with no damage it could be worth £30 to £40.

This is the pen you want to look out for so make note of all the atributes because there are a couple of similar model pens. The heavy, split, clip and deep double groove tassie & button are the prominent features of the Gent.
