Here's my review of the deep and brooding Diamine Prussian Blue, sponsored by FPN member Jared, who kindly sent me a batch of ink samples to review. Thanks Jared!

Another great review and it's an ink I enjoy using although I've perhaps used the right nibs as I don't get it as dark as your examples. However, I've a wet Conway Stewart 60 due any day back from having the lever 'tightened' so I'll try the PB in that. I've found its water-resistance good as well.

This color is amazing! So regal and dignified, cool and professional.

I am curious though, how does it compare to Diamine Denim? More blue and less purple?

Here's my take on it.

Thanks everyone!

That bottle of Prussian Blue is much darker than the one I received, looks closer to Twilight or Blue-Black by Diamine.

The Noodler's Flex pen I use is a wet writer, so it does lay the ink down a bit thicker than a normal pen of comparable nib size. I think the Serwex is more what you'd expect from the typical fine nib pen, but I like my pens wet anyway so that's kind of where my reviews come form. :)

one of my favorite inks from diamine. I use it regularly in my sheaffer pfm II with a m nib not only it gives the pen a lot of shading but it also improves the inkflow. Thanks for the review

I did find some elusive sheen with this ink, but only after putting it in a brush pen and writing on a strange paper that came in a batch of paper from an estate sale. It sort of resembles wax paper.

Good review!

Beautiful ink that Prussian Blue. Just ordered one now. Won't mind it overcoming my current favorite and similar - J. Herbin's Bleu Nuit!

Based on the pictures, the ink really appears to be different in a wider nib. Thank you for the comparisons and review.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Big surprise for me -- I had totally written this ink off. Thanks for the review!

Diamine Prussian Blue is not just another Blue-Black. Initially, it starts as

dull blue black but after drying morphs into some shade of Russian Blue beads.

Liked it a lot that way.
