Mont Blanc Lavender Purple Mini Review

A very saturated purple from Mont Blanc. The ink reminds me of the some the colours you get while swirling Shiraz / Syrah in a wine glass. I never thought that I would like purple, but the darkness/saturation of this ink make it work-friendly.

I like! Thanks for doing this review. I tend to favor MB and Diamine inks so this would feel right at home in my innk collection.

Excellent review, another ink to mull over and buy on a whim if I see it standing there.

It seems to me that MB has stepped it up in terms of quality in their inks over the last few years. Maybe the keen and tendentious newly-arisen competition has forced their hand?

I have welcomed the realization that MB is a solid player in the ink market, compared to a decade ago...

As they should be.

yeah - i have similar impressions. I used to only like their royal blue and the sepia, but i know have and use pretty much all of their new inks. I am also a big fan of their new limited edition / writer's edition inks (just the inks, and not the fact that they are limited).

Great review. I have been able to get some more shading just in my Waterman Phileas. It really is a wonderful color, though. I find that it is a very distinct purple that tends towards a bit more of a red tint.

I love my MB Violet (the old color) I just wish it didn't wash away. crybaby.gifAnd I'm sad that it fades so quickly. Still, I love the richness of the color.

Thank you for the review!

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

Thanks for the review! Purple has become one of my favourite colours in the last few years, I'll have to add it to my list of inks to get/try!

Stock is always around, never turn down the slightest intuitive whim that there might be something in a store that you haven't explored...

I thought it was discontinued ? glad to see there is still stock around

I don't know if it is or ever was discontinued, but it is (alongside their Midnight Blue) still missing in MB's current listing. Check out Articles 44 to 49.

It's a beautiful color as was it's predecessor. Alas it had no water resistance or fade resistance.http://sheismylawyer.com/INK/attachments/157_small.jpg

The consistency of the colour in different pens/nibs was mentioned in the review.

I'm adding this scan to show differences in colour. The lighter shade is in a TWSBY 580 bold and the darker one is a Jinhao 750 medium.
