A hint? Not too long ago, Teri at Peyton Street Pens was searching for the model name of a thin sterling silver Delta pen. Her last photo has a hallmark identical to my pen with the mystery logo.

The "1 CE" is not a hallmark but rather a guild or makers mark. The CE refers to the Caserta Province. The current Delta fountain pen manufacturer started in 1982 IIRC but I don't know where in Italy they are located.

Thanks for the correction on the terminology. I had determined that it was a Caserta area maker's mark and that Teri's Delta had the same maker's mark. That leaves me with just a few questions: Did Delta make this pen (and, if not, who did)? For what retailer did they make it?

Is the logo a company logo? maybe its the initials of the owner?

Hi basterma.

I can't imagine it is the initial of the owner. The nib and cap have the same logo. I have never heard of an owner commissioning a nib with his or her initial.

Also whether the Delta that made the pen Terri has is the Delta making pens today.

Bravo Ambros! E mille grazie. :notworthy1:

I think my next step is to e-mail Nazareno Gabrielli and ask who manufactured this pen for them.

Before Richemont bought Montegrappa they had another hallmark (1055 VI) as indicted by jar, see here. Quoting directly from that post about Montegrappa hallmarks:

1055 VI would signify the older Aquila owned company.

1140 MI those products made during the Richemont phase.

Pens made during the current Aquila owned company will carry a 2670 VI stamp.
