That certainly is impressive! Have to give this one a try. My only iron gall experience is with MB Midnight Blue, and this is much bluer: I like it.

Excellent review as always!

OOh, now on my want list. Thanks for the review!

Thanks! Tis one of my favorites. Get some indeed. Get some of Pharmacists ink too. Oh, and Ackermans iron gall ( what a bottle). Scabiossa too of course.

A great review of an outstanding ink! I use this in one of my Onotos - and nothing else. Because it stays bluer, for relatively longer, it's of more interest to me. Having said that, I only have ESSRI, Lamy Blue-Black and Scabiosa so I suppose compared to them, the Salix would be bluer!!!!

Fabulous ink and I would recommend that everybody should try it out at least once.

This is an ink that is worth getting a sample of, if you are looking for the color and basic behavior. I started to fall in love with Scabiosa, until I saw how it faded with UV exposure. Salix and Pharmacist's Turkish Night both have this issue as well. I even noticed some fading from ESSRI. I may still continue to use Scabiosa anyway because I love the color and shading, but Salix just isn't that awesome from fine nibs and the durability isn't convincing. Very cool effects from your flex nibs though.

Love this ink and it's the permanent load for my TWSBI 540 B.

Of course I don't store my papers in bright sunlight.

se this in my Pelikan Blue Planet LE with a 3B nib fitted and its fantastic - and very well behaved!

I just picked up a bottle of Salix at the last Dallas Pen Show, and it is a fabulous ink in a pen with a flexible nib. I've been writing with this ink for a week now and I've not even gotten a chance to try out the latest Ink Drop yet, so enamored I am with Salix.

Here is a picture of the slight sheen of this ink. :)

I've been using this ink for a little while now, and I like more and more every time I use it. Thanks for posting the review.

All I want is 1 more pen, and 1 more bottle of ink, and maybe 1 more pad of paper. Well, at least until tomorrow. Oh yeah, and throw in that bottle of single malt. Is that asking for too much?

thanks Chris.
