Next pen on the project run down is this "economic model", code PP017

Target is to create a pen of retail price between US$25-30; a price that can be more attractive to new fountain pen user, high school student...

Consoliate many plastic barrel parts into one, use less or smaller metal parts to save the cost. It end up with 4 new plastic parts; Cap, Inner Cap, Barrel, and Screw End Plug.

Our RD done this design in two days work. Yor are welcome to comment or give suggestion. You can start by giving it a good name.

You should call it the Carbon something. Even though its not the predecessor to the Diamond, it could be the pen that leads to buying that one.

I really like the idea of a cheaper TWSBI pen... as a student, I'd probably buy one the moment it comes out...

Maybe it's just me though, but I am not a huge fan of piston fillers. Maybe it's because I love extra fine nibs so I don't need as much ink capacity as the BBBB lovers out there.

Seems like it would be cheaper to make the pen a converter pen and just make sure it's easily converted to an eyedropper.

Like the early design though. Simple, but still has a TWSBI feel.

As far as naming goes, I would use a three digit number somewhere below 540 and 530 if it's going to be similar to those pens. Just for consistencies sake.

I have several TWSBI and would get this one to add to the collection in a XF if available ...

My name suggestions are "Prologue" or "Portal", as both suggest something indicative of things to come.

"Gateway Drug" seems to have a negative connotation. ;-)

Hi,

I think it would be better to remove the metal ring on the grip section. The ring is another thing that may corrode or get damaged.

Stolen: Aurora Optima Demonstrator Red ends Medium nib. Serial number 1216 and Aurora 98 Cartridge/Converter Black bark finish (Archivi Storici) with gold cap. Reward if found. Please contact me if you have seen these pens.

Please send vial orders and other messages to fpninkvials funny-round-mark-thing gmail strange-mark-thing com. My shop is open once again if you need help with your pen.

Will someone with the name of "Jay" who emailed me through the email system provide me an email address? There was no email address provided, so I can't write back.

If the ring is made from the same stuff the nib is, it should be fine, right?

Well... since it's not quite a Diamond yet the demonstrator still gives a sense of a clear precious stone... Why not the Quartz or Zircon?

Edit: Hmmm... gonna have to buy one of these when they come out.
