Italic And Stub Nibs

Recommended Posts

Hi,

as I only use FP with italic, obligue or Stub nibs, I have written a test with 27 of my pens.

There are some customized nibs as the Waterman Exception Night and Day, which is done by Stefan Wallrafen, and some of them are mmade by me myself as Parker Premier 2010, Diplomat Classic or Pelikan M600.

Have fun with the pictures.

Kind regards,

Volker

Great examples, thank you. It would be helpful if you would please identify which nibs were "stock" (as I suspect that most were custom ground) or which were customized.

I especially liked the Italic B samples. Something very nice about all of them.

Please say more about the Waterman Exception Night and Day...

What paper?

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

I am not seeing very much line variation at all in the samples.

NONE of those appear to have anywhere Near the variation for even a Cursive Italic and few of them appear to even approach a nice Stub in it's usual variation.
