This is a lovely dark green with exceptional sheening. :puddle: Highly recommended.

I'll have some pictures of the AWESOME sheen (which now has its own category under the "Ratings" section of my reviews :D ) in a day or two.

On a side note, I seem to remember some controversy about this ink's behavior (I alluded to it in the review), but I found it very pleasant to wok with. Would that controversy belong to Private Reserve's Sherwood Green?

Great review, again. I can't believe it has sheen I never would have thought that

I believe so, though I haven't used either yet (there's a sample of PR Sherwood Green in my queue...). I don't recall reading about any issues with Diamine Sherwood Green, while Private Reserve Sherwood Green is infamous for very long dry times and resultant smearing.

This is a great ink and along with their Evergreen and Green-Black, form three of my favourite greens.

Great review....Thanks

Only problem is...I have just received a bottle from Diamine...and it's sat in the drawer...I'm going to have to empty a pen now to try this out

I must admit the reviews I saw were 99% positive and said it was 'well behaved'

Hehe, I'm really guilty of that. It's one of my most overused review terms… ;)

That's a beautiful sheen. How likely do you think it is that it'll show up in a stiff medium or fine pen? I just ordered it and am really looking forward to trying it out.

I have this ink in my Pelikan M200 with Fine nib. The sheen shows up when you use a higher grade of paper. I don't notice it when writing on regular copy paper. But, it does shade nicely even with the fine nib.

Was offered to bottles of this ink for free by my favorite dealer Mr Mora, I will use this ink as soon as I finish my stock of MB Racing green

This was on the first inks I ever purchased, and is still in my top three favorites. Beautiful, dark green color. I use it most often in my TWSBI Vac 700 (which I have adjusted a bit to have a very wet flow). I'm thinking I'd like to try it next in my Namiki Falcon.

Thank you kindly for this great review! I was going to order this just for the tone; now, with all the very useful pictures and opinions here, I'm thinking to do so ASAP! No idea it had that beautiful sheen. I'm ordering this and 2 other Diamine Inks: Majestic Blue (has a very similar sheen as well) and Oxblood Red. And thanks to irrigger as well, I preffer using EF or F nibs 'cause of my handwriting size and your input was just what I needed :)

Point of information:

Does "fast drying" mean 'fast compared to other inks' or does it mean 'fast enough for left-handed writers'?

A pertinent-to-this-page example is Private Reserve Sherwood Green - fast dry. It says 'fast dry' in the ad and on the bottle. I assume it is in some contexts. Even so, the green inkstains on the side of my left hand and pinky say it is not fast-drying enough for left-handed writers.

Since this is a constant issue for left-handed writers, shouldn't it be a routine part of every ink review? Even wrong-handed reviewers can experiment with writing with their left hand to see whether the ink they are reviewing is suitable for left-handed writers.

As a general rule sheen-heavy inks take longer to dry as they're more saturated (not always true, but true enough for this discussion). I would say get a sample for lefty tests before getting a bottle.
