Got a brand new Defi S.T. Dupont in carbon fibre and by God it's a beautiful pen! I'm loving this pen so much! The steel nib is actually quite smooth. Anyone else have experiences with this pen?post-76872-0-24258900-1343240868.jpgpost-76872-0-98765900-1343240877.jpgpost-76872-0-87062800-1343240893.jpgpost-76872-0-73289000-1343240913.jpg

The pen I write with, is the pen I use to sign my name.

Congratulations ! I have one too. Very smooth nib, excellent balance, ans slightly stubbish nib here (out of the box).

I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine (which I overlooked for a while because of the firm nib, but in the end, its smoothness compensates).

This is the fine nib, which I find writes quite dry. I didn't even know it was a steel nib when I bought it!! What really captivated me was the carbon fibre and the craftsmanship.

I don't have a Defi but I've never found an ST Dupont that was less than amazing.

You can post it, by pushing quite firmly the cap on the barrel. But I'm not sure it's really made to be posted.

It is an outstanding quality product way much better than what waterman produces nowadays.

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

So what are your thoughts now that you've had some time to write with this? I've just purchased a Defi Carbon Fiber, it writes well but feels really light. I'm not a huge fan of using cartidges, but love the look. I'm also more familiar with thicker pens. I'm merely looking for validation on the purchase, I'm definitely glad to see that someone else also enjoys the look!
