Platinum Hammered Antique Sterling Silver

Pen2009

Recommended Posts

As I was hooked to Platinum's sterling silver pens, I had to add another one. This pen will join its brother as I posted here recently.

The packaing is idential to the Hammered Sterling Silver pen. I have used Hammered Sterling Silver's wood box as a storage box on my desk. This box for the Hammered Antique Sterling Silver, however, will be just stored in my pen closet, as there is no need to use 2 boxes on my desk.

As shown, the presentation is immaculate. The pan is well protected in this box.

The design of this pen is very unique. The sterling silver finish is treated with some chemical to give off antique-looking appearance. The pen is for cartridge/converter fill, similar to other Platinum pens. The nib being M, I should have no issue with the converter to last me for a few days after a fill up.

The nib is made of platinum. I only dip-tested the pen and I am pleased that the pen passed my test with flying colors, like all of my Platinum pens to date. I think I am pushing my luck as this winning streak could not possibly last. But, I am very impressed with Platinum's QC on their pens and nibs.

Congratulations on taking custody of such a beautiful pen. I love the shiny silver one too and now want one of either or both *sigh

I had to add another Platinum Hammered Anique Sterling Silver pen; this time, with a B nib. Compared to my other 2 "non antique looking" hammered sterling silver pen, I find the antique look of the hammered sterling silver very unique. Platinum's platinum nibs are super smooth. The size of Platinum's sterling silver pens is just right when I use them unposted.

As this model is hand made, the color and hammered pattern are not identical. So, each pen is unquie in that sense as well.

I'm interested in these pens but I would like to know the exact uncapped length and an uncapped visual comparison against another pen.

Can someone help me?
