I just purchased the pictured stand for a Montblanc 146. I have also purchased from ebay a replacement holder for the 149. I would now like to swithch the 149 holder for the 146 holder on this base. However, it is not clear to me how to remove the 146 holder. Can anyone help. Thanks.

It should just pull out. At least on the older models, they just snapped in. It took some force, but they did snap out.

Thank you! That did the trick. I was afraid to pull too hard for fear of breaking it, but it did pop out once I pulled hard enough.
