Here's my review of Diamine's very officious Presidential Blue. Not exactly what you find on the side of Air Force One, but a very presidential color nonetheless.

Here's a comparison between Presidential Blue and its close relative, China Blue:

Please note that had I given the China Blue a little bit longer to settle it would've been slightly lighter.

Overall this is a very good blue ink with great shading and good enough manners to actual be in the Oval Office.

I really like this understated ink; one of my Diamine favourites. Well worth the 80ml.

Hey, this is nice. Similar to China Blue but shades more? I'm sold.

Were all of these bottles limited edition? My 80 ml bottle has a card inside which says Series 2 and is handwritten Bottle Number 5 of 1000.

 

Is it a big deal?

The Presidential Blue and the Tropical Blue first came out as LEs in 2004, before they joined the regular line-up of Diamine a few years later.

very interesting blue and lovely color, nice review :thumbup: thanks for sharing

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time
