The 146 and the 147 are exactly the same size.

 

The 146 is piston filled only.

 

The 147 is cartridge filled only (no converter).

 

The 147 comes with a very high quality black leather roll case for the pen and extra cartridges.

 

I used the 147 in med school because I was always on the run, never at a desk, and it was easier to change cartridges on the run with the 147 than to carry an ink bottle, a roll of paper towels, and ink remover to refill an empty piston filler.

As last post and the 144 is smaller than the 146 / 147

How does the MB 147 (Traveller) compare in size to the MB 146 and MB 144? Thanks in advance.

My 146 is smaller than my 147. My 146 is a late 70s model.
