Sheaffer Lavender

Recommended Posts

I acquired a bottle of Sheaffer Lavender in a trade, and I am quite happy with the result. Below is my handwritten review.

At the bottom, I tried using a school dip pen. However, since it did an awful job of bleeding and dripping ink everywhere, I instead used a modern Parker Urban. I think it does the trick nicely. So if you want to see what these inks look like at their worst, take a look on the left side. :happyberet:

Enjoy!

Thank you for the review. I was curious about this ink. I think it is a bit lighter than I thought it would be.

Its too bad that some of the old Sheaffer inks were discontinued.Peacock Blue and King's Gold are two others that come to mind.

I have the old stock permanent blue black, washable blue, and emerald. I like them all, but the emerald is a nice green and really well behaved. The closest match that I could find is R&K veridian green. The older Skrip bottles are pretty nice too.

I remember when this ink was available and am sorry I didn't buy a bottle back then. Nice to see it in your review.

Have used some of the Emerald Green in the past. Still have one of the little sample bottles.

Yes those old Sheaffer bottles are hard to beat.I save all mine and use them for other inks.
