Today I'm using an unbranded "Panda Pen"

Inked with Diamine imperial purple.

It makes me smile, and is actually very good.

Can we see the pen ? Maybe it's a Diamond 61 , :)

I posted some pens which i found interesting but with normal nib :) . But no worries i come back to those with a hooded nibs in a jiffy :) .

I have one of those Wing Sung lucky 2007s and it's a nice looking pen, especially in burgundy like yours.

There are some pictures of the pen in the Show and tell thread.

It's quite a chunkster.

My Lignau Lorelei and a Duke Bamboo. The Lorelei is a recent purchase; I got the yellow/honey one so I'd have a nice bright pen for more subdued inks. Right now it has Lexington Gray in it. It worked just fine out of the box, but the tipping was just a spherical blob on the end of nib and didn't feel right. I reshaped it a bit this afternoon, removing the excess tipping on the top and the sides, giving it a bit of a foot, and smoothing everything out and now it has gone from a really good pen for $12 to an excellent pen, period.

I've had the Duke Bamboo for years. It was in storage for quite a while, but I've been working on re-exploring the pens I have rather than buying [too many] new ones. I remembered it being a very nice pen, and that memory was not wrong. It is nice and fat and I really like the interplay between the small nib and the rather large body. It has ina-ho in it right now, and the ink color brings out the highlights in the wood. Actually, I prefer my pens and inks to complement each other rather than match, so I probably won't use that pen/ink combo again. The Duke will probably get a magenta or a red next time around.

Yet another Sarah.

To all of you Chinese pen lovers if you have never taken my advice about one of the nicest Jinhao Fountain pens

on the market then take a look at this site Aliexpress.com which has a number of the pens which I had the pleasure of naming years ago and have 3 in my collection and am thinking of a fourth it is the Abalone pen, there are

several of them on this page you may find that there are small differences in the manufacture of them so it makes a change. When looking for this pen be WARNED that there are some unscrupulous dealers who would even try to get you to buy this pen for in the region of$800. A reasonable price would be around $25. including shipping.

Trust Me. oneill

Dug out one I haven't used for a couple of years

A Hero 8018, with a supremely smooth medium nib.

I inked it up with L'Artisan Pastellier Callifolio "Ultra-marine", and off it went.

A fabulous writer, with a bit of weight and girth to it.
