J S Staedtler Luna - Information Required

Recommended Posts

I obtained this pen from Belgium a few years ago. It is 125 mm long capped with J S Staedtler and a 'Man in the moon' logo imprinted on the barrel and repeated on the 14K nib. The clip has the word 'LUNA' imprinted. It is a piston filler with an ink window just below the section and has the number 4248 imprinted just above the barrel end. It is rather Pelikan like.

The pen was recently superbly restored by Eric Wilson and I now use it on a regular basis. I would be most grateful for any information on this model and the company.

It is a beautiful pen.

I have one although yours looks closer to Pelikan.

Mine also has a LUNA clip, same nib flexible but F stroke and the body of the pen is octogonal

it measures 11.5 cm capped. On the barrel you can read "Diguilar Luna Pen"

I bought it in a pen show some years ago and it was restored by a friend in Germany but I could never know more

about it.
