75Th Anniversary Meisterstuck

Hi, I was just trying to get some information on a pen that I have. I purchased this pen while I was on vacation in Europe a long time ago and do not know any specifics. I believe it is a 75th anninversary Meisterstuck ballpoint pen, but that is all I know. Says "75 YEARS OF PASSION" with a diamond for the O in passion. Below that has a serial number: CV1207533 and GERMANY. I do not know the number of the pen, for example 164, 163, etc. That is what I am trying to figure out and I would also like to know if it has any value. I would appreciate any help.

Thanks

Looks like a 116, but hard to tell. Did you purchase it pre-owned? Just curious.

No I purchased it brand new but I did not keep any of the paperwork. I wasnt collecting pens. How can you determine the number? Is there a way to do this? Is the pen worth holding onto?

Thanks

You bought it. Therefore, it's worth it! While you're on lunch break, take it to a local pen shop, or an authorized Montblanc dealer. They can help authenticate and verify the pen model. Good luck.

Your Montblanc is a 75th Anniversary Special Edition twist action ballpoint in the Classique size, released in 1999 to celebrate one of Montblanc's 75th Anniversaries - in numbers it's a 75th Anniversary Special Edition 164, or Montblanc Item #75362.

A pen like yours is currently for sale on eBay for $699 (which I think is a little high): http://www.ebay.com/itm/MONTBLANC-75th-Anniversary-164-Special-Edition-BP-/130617277240?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e69657b38

Just to be sure, look at the white star logo atop the cap. If that white star is white resin (opaque), then my opinion stands. If the white star is crafted from shimmering mother of pearl, then your pen is one of 1,924 pens manufactured worldwide as the 75th Anniversary LIMITED Edition. The 75th Anniversary Limited Edition pens have rose gold plated hardware rather than yellow gold plated hardware; they have a mother of pearl star rather than a white resin star, and they are worth more. Both versions have a tiny genuine diamond filling one of the O letters in the cap band.

You pen requires Monblanc ballpoint refills. Those are available from any Authorized Montblanc Dealer, listed here: http://www.montblanc.com/flash/#/boutique-locator

Or you can buy refills online here: http://www.montblanc.com/en-US/shop/Refills/Writing-Instruments.aspx?filter={9A8CFB65-D22B-4B28-BD27-3E1CBF8A8DE0}

You want refills that are labeled "Only for Ballpoint Pens with twist mechanisms except Montblanc Meisterstück Hommage à W.A. Mozart"

A nice pen. Get some refills (I like broad black or broad blue) and enjoy your pen.

Thank you very much for your help. It is not the mother of pearl limited pen, it is the other. Thanks for giving me some background.
