If your Parker Facet is relatively new(I've never heard the model

as a vintage pen),then it wouldn't have a date code. Parker only

used date codes on their pens from the early 30's to the early 50's

(including Canadian models). Also, being a ballpoint pen it wouldn't

have a date code since their coding system was dropped before

ballpoint pens bercame a staple of Parker.

Irony is not lost on INFJ's--in fact, they revel in it.

sumgaikid, thank you for fast reply. But I have my Sonnet Mini ballpoint pen, which I bought in Levertovsky store 2 years ago and this pen has date code. Thats why I want to know list of series (fountain and ballpoint) which should have date code.

The Parker Facet I believe was made in China. Parker doesn't seem to put date codes on their Chinese made pens.

I agree. My Urbans don't have date code.

It's certainly not a matter of it being a cheap pen-- I've got date codes on the two Reflexes I have (but they're UK made...).

edit; by way of showing off, and put together by leaning heavily upon Tony and Richard Binder:

Indeed, the lack of Date Codes on the Facet is not due to its low price.

Vectors and Jotters have date codes and they are cheaper,

I think the Made in China theory is valid.

I've read here (in Spanish) that Parker reversed the previous format from 2010. So it now should be similar to the scheme from 1988 to 1999 but with a dot between ther quarter and the year letter: III.Y - II.Y - I.Y - .Y

The only really new Parker in my hands is the Ingenuity which I was sent for evaluation- no date code on it I can find. Anyone here with a brand new Duofold that can confirm this? It would save a lot of confusion, if true.

I don't have a Duofold but I recently bought a Sonnet that had a date code ending with a Q. I bought it at Paradise Pen in May of this year but it was probably made in 2010 so I think Parker is keeping the same lettering format. I also have a 2011 French-made Jotter with a date code that ends with a U.
