You are right, this doesn't lighten quite as much as the Akkerman Residentie Blauw, but it's really close.

Mind you, you seem to be getting better shading (a bit)with the Diamine. It's quite nice on the eyes.

My pen is very wet - I tend to write at about the 2-swab level with pools in 3-swab and only the odd fast line in 1-swab.

EDIT : I had John Sorowka (Oxonian) set up my pen to "wet, for Diamine" and he did a lovely job!

this one i like. the first time i got it i was expecting the pastel blue color to come out right away and was very disappointed when i saw the mid blue... for a few hours. i was quite surprised to see the change in color later on -not sure if 24 hrs, but definitely overnight! i like the end results!!

thx for the review!

I love this ink too but haven't used it in a while. Thanks for reminding me!

saketb - in a drier pen you will get less shading remember but if you too have a pen set up for wet flow then yes, you'll get this result.
