I love this colour! Much prefer it to Umber, which I received in the same multipack of ink cartridges. I used it in my Baoer 388, which is a wet writer but there was a lot of show through and feathering. It worked like a treat in my Schneider Base.

I think folks will agree that show through and feathering is more a factor of the paper than the nib and ink. With this wet-writing Onoto I also get feathering but only on cheaper papers. On the Rhodia and especially Clairefontaine this ink gives rock-solid edges.

Thank you! It is nice playing with the new scanner. Now if they only did a wifi enabled scanner that didn't cost as much as the V750M... or Apple enabled AirScan on the Airport Express...

I'd still need to figure out a way to identify the dark ink colors of the sampler. I am only interested in teal, because I have the other inks I like already, my wife wants to use the other cartridges and I don't want to waste them. The last time I tried to start a teal cartridge I catched an umber cartridge.

It was tricky working out which was which, I agree. There were the black and red ones which were easy because there was 1 of each but the rest were difficult. All these recent reviews came from bottles.

The ones I could identify by the color of the bubble on top and the bottom (jet black) ..

 

Jet Black

Red tones

Woodland Green

Blue tones

 

The rest is really hard to identify, but I've been lucky though. The second pick was the teal already. I think they should label them. I think this is the first sampler without labels I've seen. I had most colors and knew what I searched for, but I think it's hard to identify the color you might want to buy otherwise.

 

I really like their teal, modest enough to be used for business letters and signatures, but not boring at all.

I'm using my Epson V500 over my wireless network. It's connected to a USB hub which is connected to the USB port of a D-Link DIR 655 wireless router. Very convenient.

From what I see on my screen the Diamine Teal looks slightly more green than blue.

If you want a lighter, blue - er, ink I'd suggest Caran d'Ache Carribean Sea! Very nice ink.

Many thanks for the review. I saw this color in the Diamine catalogue, but I did not pay much attention. After your review, I think I will take a 30ml bottle to test it.

I'm a big fan of Teal too - I wonder how many ink bottles Diamine sell on the basis of the mixed cartridge packs? I know I've bought two from the mixed pack I got from them last time...

Looks like Parker Quink blue-black to me

I was surprised by Asa Blue being very greenish. This looks to be similar to what I managed with Asa Blue + some black added.

OH, DARN! I REALLY like your scan and description of this ink! One more ink to add to my wish list. I love Diamine Sherwood, and I have a feeling this blue/green, "playful" ink color could become my new favorite.

I am glad folks are interested in this ink. I find it very easy on the eye and it is becoming a favourite which will be upgraded from a 30ml to a full bottle before long.

I've used it in two pens so far, and on various papers, and completely see what you mean.

 

In some lights, and on some papers, it's a greyish blue. In other lights, the green is fairly clear. Coincidentally, a page of meeting notes (Black and Red notebook, Diamine Teal, written with a Schneider Base) is open on my desk as I write this - every so often, I catch sight of it from the corner of my eye, and think, "Hey, that's a nice green..." Looking again, it's as if the green only appears in some lights - a bit like the sheen Diamine's Majestic Blue has. Smoother papers seem to show it off to best effect (imo).

Nice shading, and I always trust a Diamine ink to be good. Don't like greenish inks, but Diamine Teal looks very good for a teal.
