New Diamine Inks

I have just received samples of the new Diamine inks, and have made swabs of the colours to share with everyone here. I have to say that I'm very impressed with the new colours. Personally, I prefer the brighter colours. However, there are also the more subdued tones to suit those who are seeking new inks for work-related purposes. The names of the colours were written using a dip pen. I haven't had the chance to try the inks in FPs as yet, so cannot comment on the properties or behaviour.

Addit : Peach Haze is a lot more orange (not red/pink as it appears above) compared to the scan :embarrassed_smile:

Wow! This has to be the first look at these new inks... How did you manage to get hold of samples before the colours are actually released?

But seriously- they look stunning. Ancient copper, billberry, denim and sargasso sea look simply beautiful! Any clue as to release dates?

What's Eclipse like? From the Diamine website it looks like it's black with a weird orange shading. Is that just a bad scan, or is there really something there behind the black?

Unfortunately, I don't have any idea when the inks will be released. Although, I did click on 'Add to cart' for Ochre, and it was added. I was half anticipating a message saying that it wasn't available yet.

Oh! I like the looks of Aqua Lagoon, Macassar, Merlot, Sargasso Sea, and Soft Mint.

It isn't a straightforward black. Will check it out properly and let you know.

Many thanks. I've seen them announced on their site, so it's good news they've started sending out samples. I must finish my bottle of Majestic Blue to make room for Sargasso. The reds are very appealing too.

hanks for posting this. There's lots of nice inks on this list, I even think the greens look nice.

 

Do you find that the samples you're given to test are the final version of the ink or do you notice changes as a result of your tests?

That Sargasso Sea is beckoning me!

Me too. That appears to be the shade of blue I am looking for.

 

Hopefully it will be the same in person - just have to wait for summer 2012
