Wow that is something...1903. I don't think I've seen a Waterman that old before

Waiting to hear from the experts as well.

Looks like a Waterman 12 eyedropper filler with an Aikin Lambert Mercantile clip. Clip is not original to the pen per se, but was available as a common add on to clip less pens during the time.

I will say that my Waterman 12 is one of my favorite pens of my entire Waterman collection, and definitely the one I reach for when I'm writing letters. I love that ultra-flexible nib, and you would not believe the ink capacity on this baby. This is one of those pens that they will have to pry out of my cold, dead hands.

When I was looking at your pictures, however, it seemed to me that the nib looked sprung. The tines seemed to be splayed apart, although I can't immediately tell from the faraway picture. A close-up of the nib would help to determine if indeed the nib has been sprung. Otherwise, a very pretty and easily usable fountain pen. Just make certain not to let the ink capacity dip below about 1/4 full. They tend to blob when this low on ink.

The point is definitely in need of some work, but should be recoverable. I'll point out that the 1903 date is for a patent rather than the pen itself-- they were making the 12 until at least 1917, so it might be a mere nonagenarian
